Paris is Burning?

The Paris I encountered on the second weekend of November was anything but on fire. Gunmetal gray skies enshrouded a placid, peaceful city that belied the fact that miles away anger erupted from the seething caludron of displaced and impoverished lives.

These times demand certian things from us. We should try to remember that while being human is seemingly a divine right, treating our fellow mankind as such is a divine responsibility. Our self preservation can no longer afford the luxury of allowing languages, religions and skin color to form boundaries with which to separate our empty, vapid, suburban lives.
