The Legend of Boggy Creek (a true story)

McCurtain County, Oklahoma - Bigfoot Habitat - June 2010 ©trryan

Here in this primitive river bottom wilderness in southeastern Oklahoma, so the legend claims, lurks a creature that walks upright and stands over 8 feet tall.

Nearby Fouke, Arkansas gets the credit in the "it's-so-bad-it's-funny" 1972 B Movie - but it's in these remote mountains of Atoka and McCurtain County in southeastern Oklahoma where bigfoot sightings persist to this day.  Is it is a man, monster, or myth?  You decide.

If this video footage in the film's trailer below wasn't filmed in southeastern Oklahoma - then its a dead ringer.  This corner of Oklahoma is famous for its beautiful, haunting, remote mountain landscape.

We have a Boggy Creek in Washita County near Bessie, but it's very shallow. The Boggy Creek Monster there would probably be very small. LOL
