Ravishing. The juxtaposition of barely-checked verdant green, of smooth-skinned children and peeling mortuary monuments, kills me. Well, no, it makes me feel more alive. Love this, love this.
What a rich set of images. I'm reminded of traveling by train on Dia de los Muertos in Peru back in the early '90s. We watched the bonfires in the graveyards of all the little villages we passed through. A couple of days later we walked through the cemetery in Baños, Ecuador. Most of the grave decorations were still in place. Thanks for sparking some good memories. Congrats on the award- well deserved.
Lovely pics of something I'd like to witness one day. I see the mexican ladies here buying their orange flowers in the supermarket, but never get to see any more of the pageant.
